Christmas and Flowers

Flowers play an active role in Christmas decorations everywhere. Some of the more popular flowers used in Christmas floral decorations are the Poinsettia, Christmas Cactus, Holly, Christmas Rose, Ivy, and Mistletoe.

In ancient times, the Poinsettia was a symbol of purity to the Aztecs. Ivy is known to symbolize eternity and resurrection and the mistletoe has a long-standing place in the Christmas celebration as an excuse to catch a quick kiss.

The Christmas cactus also known as the Orchid Cactus makes for beautiful Christmas gift baskets. The Christmas Rose, also known as the Snow or Winter Rose makes for another great Christmas floral arrangement.

Let Brant Florist help you celebrate the season by making the perfect Christmas flower arrangement or flower accents for your home or office. They can also help create the perfect gifts for sending flower and gifts baskets for you this holiday season as well.

My sister lives several states away and hardly ever makes it home for Christmas. She always sends me a floral arrangement that has red and white flowers with evergreen. The house always smells so good after it arrives. I have an artificial tree so I rely on her arrangement to set the scent of Christmas loose in my home.

At Christmas time I love to decorate using red carnations and roses with evergreen. It makes the whole house smell so good. I don’t do it myself though. I’ve tried it a couple of times but it just isn’t the same as I can expect from Brant Florist. When you want it done right, ask a professional. I’m taking my own advice!

I think wreaths and floral arrangements make the perfect Christmas gifts. I have several people on my list that I know enjoy getting them almost as much as I enjoy picking them out and sending them.

I love surprising my Mom with flowers especially at Christmas. There are so many beautiful arrangements to choose from. I went to Brant Florist yesterday and they had just what I was looking for. My Mom was not only surprised, she was elated.

I love walking into our Cathedral for midnight mass on Christmas Eve. The trees, flowers and greenery are always an amazing display.

I love sending my girls flowers for Christmas. They all have children and I know they would never buy flowers for themselves although they all love flowers. I guess that is what makes it so special that I can do it even though they live in three different states. Brant florist takes care of all of my floral needs.

I own a restaurant and this year I added a fresh Christmas floral arrangement to each table. I can’t believe the positive responses I got from practically every customer. I’ll be doing this again very soon. I’m sure that the flowers will make a difference all year round.
