There is never an excuse to send less than the best in a flower arrangement. Grocery store flowers might be OK to dress up your desk at work, but that’s about the extent of their usefulness. If you care enough to send flowers, send the best.

Cheap flowers have a ‘look’ that just can’t be dressed up. If you want to make a statement with flowers, let a trusted florist put the bouquet together for you. The look of the arrangement will convey your thoughts and feelings to the recipient.

I have been guilty of buying cheap flowers a time or two, but no more. It seemed as if those flowers died within a day or two at the most. Some of them wilted as soon as pulled them out of the wrapper. Maybe the wrapper is what was holding it up. Now, I go to Brant Florist. I know I’m getting top quality plants and flowers arranged just the way I want them to be.

When you buy cheap flowers, that’s exactly what you get. I can’t think of any reason to settle for less than the best. If it’s important enough to call for flowers, it’s important enough to let Brant Florist do their magic for you.

I wanted to give my Mom flowers for her birthday but I forgot to order them. I ran to the corner grocery store and grabbed a bunch of mixed flowers and a glass vase. When I dropped them off at my Mom’s she just looked at them and never said a word. I looked too and was mortified to see that most of them were already drooping. Never again!

If you choose and pay for cheap flowers, expect to be disappointed with the quality. If it matters, choose a reputable florist and order early. Even if it’s late, cheap flowers are still cheap flowers. I’d rather send a good arrangement late that cheap flowers on time.

I used to buy cheap flowers when I was young and thought I was getting a really good deal. As I got older I saw how they looked against a bouquet from a flower shop. That was the last time I bought those flowers. Flowers and wine have that in common, your taste in them matures as you do.

I was behind a woman at the grocery store tonight who had 3 sleeves of cheap flowers. I wanted to ask her why so many, but I bet I know the answer. Some of the flowers in each package were pretty sad looking. I’m betting she took the best of the flowers and combined them into one vase. She actually spent as much as a floral arrangement for Brant Florist would have cost and their flowers would have been fresh and had more eye appeal too.

Before I realized the difference between professional arrangements and cheap flowers I was as guilty as they come. I can’t tell you how many times I raced in to the nearest grocery store and grabbed a sleeve of flowers, shoved them in a container and gave them to someone. Once, I couldn’t find a vase and I used a mayo jar covered with foil. I thought I was so clever. Thank God I figured it out.
