On the Brant Florist Facebook FanPage, one of our fans left this beautiful statement about flowers. Cathy, you could not have expressed the wonders, beauty, and feelings of flowers better! It was so well stated that I felt it was perfect for the Featured Flower Friday Blog, so without further ado, here is Cathy’s thoughts on flowers:

I used to have a thing about polka dots when I was young. Practically every dress I owned had dots of some kind on it. My Mom let me wear them until my heart was contented and then I branched out. Even at 50, I still like polka dots and that makes this arrangement very pleasing to me.

I wonder why it is that out of all the flowers I have received in my lifetime, I’m 78, the ones I remember most were the clover and dandelions picked for me by my children and grandchildren. I guess because they were given with unconditional love. Truth be told, they could have brought me dead flowers and they still would have been special!

Polka Dots and Posie is just what I’m looking for to send my best friend who is fighting cancer. She’s in the hospital and not doing well at the moment. I can’t go and be with her but I want her to know that she’s being thought of so I’m sending these flowers in my place.

There’s something about polka dots and pink fabric that just gets to me. Pink and white ribbon, pink and white flowers, what a combination. That’s sure to brighten any one’s day.

I’ve always been a fan of polka dots. You’ll still find them here and there in my home, just not quite as evident as they were when I was younger. This arrangement takes me back to my younger days and darned if it doesn’t make me feel younger too. I’m going to order it for myself. No one left to send me flowers, but that’s OK, I don’t mind getting them. Flowers are one of the few joys I have left.
