I love carnations for their scent. I also like the look of the actual flower. Whenever I smell them I have to smile. I try to have them in the house as often as possible. They definitely perk me up.

I like to smell real roses but not perfumes that are supposed to smell like the real thing. It doesn’t. I like sweet peas and the it’s partly because of the smell. It’s so fresh and just seems to put me a good mood. The flowers themselves are pretty too and easy on the eyes.

We had lilac bushes in the yard when we were growing up. It was a great time in my life and whenever I smell lilacs, I’m reminded of those times. The flowers are lovely to look at too, but it’s really the smell that speaks to me.

I love to smell flowers and try to identify them. But, when I’m buying flowers I go more by the looks, although I want them to have a pleasant scent as well. I really like Jasmine, both for it’s look and it’s aroma.

Nice is exactly the word that came to mind when I saw this bouquet. It’s funny how the names of the arrangements almost always are so fitting. I’ve been sitting here thinking about flowers. I love them all. For striking appearance I like the Bird of Paradise and would buy it regardless of the scent. All flowers have wonderful aromas and I think that is the reason I would buy most flowers. The exotic variety is mostly for looks. Can you tell I’m indecisive when it comes to flowers? I just really love them all.

I’ve been trying to decide, but I’ve come up with no real answer. I like all flowers, some for their looks and others for their scent. Each one reminds me of a different time and person and place. I just a hopeless flower addict. Give me one kind or mix them up, doesn’t seem to detract from the enjoyment I get.

For me, it would have to be lilacs, for every reason you listed. They are pleasing to the eye, easilly recognized and I can’t think of anything that smells better.

  8. Hanna Says:

Most flowers I buy for their looks. There are a couple, like Gardenia’s and lilacs that I buy for their aroma. Gardenia’s are probably my favorite flower, but I really like them all.
